Special Purpose Grant Competitions: Support to Children and Families Affected by HIV/AIDS Special Purpose Grant Competition Support to Children and Families Affected by HIV/AIDS was held on 31 March 30 April 2006. The objective of this grant competition was to improve access of HIV affected families and children to social, educational and medical services, reduce stigma and discrimination against these families and children and form tolerant attitudes in the society The competition generated 14 grant applications, 8 winners were selected. The winning organizations are: "Peremoha" Charity Fund, Brovary, Kyiv Oblast "With Hope" Charitable Organization, Kryvyi Rig, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Youth NGO Anti-AIDS for Children of Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk All-Ukrainian Network of People Living With HIV/AIDS, Kyiv NGO Family Support Center, Novomoskovsky Rayon, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Charitable Foundation "Public Health" , Kryvyi Rig, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Cherkasy Oblast Branch of All Ukrainian Network of PLWH, Cherkasy Kyiv City Center of Social Services for Families, Children and Youth Development of a model of services for children and families at risk and/or in difficult life circumstances Special Purpose Grant Competition Development of a model of services for children and families at risk and/or in difficult life circumstances was held on 9 October 6 November 2006 and on 21 November - 14 December 2007. The objective of this grant competition was to develop and implement in FCP pilot sites a model of services for children and families at risk and/or in difficult life circumstances through realization of comprehensive care programs for children from such families and social support to their parents. The competitions generated 12 project proposals, 9 winners were selected.
