Families for Children Program Strategy in the third year will remain focused on expanding and strengthening a continuum of integrated family-based and family-centered services in the selected pilot sites.
FCP will also continue to provide support on the national level, facilitate networking and dissemination of best practices in order to improve child welfare services countrywide. FCP will begin a roll out to two new regions – Donetsk and Odessa obalsts.
In addition to technical assistance, training and implementation of direct services, FCP will put a major emphasis on changing public attitudes and perceptions by raising public awareness on the benefits of family-based care in general and adoption in particular.
As in the previous two years, one of the program goals will be integration of services for HIV-affected families and children into the overall child welfare system.
The program strategy for the third year will encompass the following areas:
1. Model program development in the pilot sites
2. Networking and dissemination
3. Technical assistance on the national level
4. Integrating services for HIV-affected families and children
